Research involving UA’s Ion Stancu supports existence of new type of neutrino

Photon sensors inside the MiniBooNE neutrino detector

Data collected by the MiniBooNE neutrino experiment show evidence supporting the possibility that there may be a 4th “sterile” neutrino.  UA physics professor Ion Stancu is a participant in this experiment.  See more information in the Los Alamos National Lab press release or the related article and interview with Brian Green on CNN.
