Title: Unsolved Problems with the Extrasolar Planets
Abstract: Current methods to find extrasolar planets favor the discovery of planets very close to their star. These planets are exposed to greatly enhanced radiation, stellar wind and tidal forces from the star as compared to Solar System planets. In this talk I will review some current theoretical challenges to our understanding of these planets, such as the physical processes occurring in their atmospheres, tidal evolution of their orbits and spins, and the evolution of their radii with age.
