Title: Looking for Dark Matter Signatures in a 6-tonne Liquid Xenon Target: XENONnT
A large set of astronomical and astrophysical measurements point towards a Universe with way more matter than what we can account for by looking around us. This missing mass is referred to as Dark Matter and it is thought to be constituted of an as yet-undiscovered species of elementary particles. In the last 30 years, physicists all around the world have been searching for dark matter by developing specialized, low-background detectors sensitive to its potential interaction with ordinary matter.
I will present the XENON-way of looking for these elusive particles, first introducing the features of the XENONnT experiment and then diving into its most recent results. I will finally delve into future plans and prospectives.
