Title: Introduction to Field Space – A Geometric Description of QFT

Abstract: When constructing a QFT we must choose a set of field to express the theory. This set is not unique and we are also free to express our theory in terms of some other set of fields. These choices should give the same results from any calculations. However in the standard formulation, this is not the case. The off shell quantum corrections that a QFT receives can depend on the set of fields used to perform the calculations. I will introduce the notion of the field space and show how it can be used to analyse whether or not a given expression will be reparametrisation invariant for a scalar field and how to remove parametrization dependence if exists.
