Accommodations
Be aware that the workshop takes place during football season. This can increase the rates by a large amount, and also limit availability. There are games in Tuscaloosa on Oct 24 and Nov 7. Make your arrangements before July!
We recommend the following hotels:

- Home Towne Suites (ideal for extended stay)

Driving Directions
We recommend the use of a rental car. Please share your car with other participants if possible. In order to find or offer a ride, please use the facebook group. After that, contact Karen Lynn in order to reserve a car. Make your arrangements before July! There is also an AMTRAK train running once a day from downtown Birmingham to Tuscaloosa and one train running the other direction (but you need to take a taxi in order to get from the airport to the train station and then again a taxi in Tuscaloosa). So the train option is less efficient.
