Conferences for Undergraduate Women in Physics

The University of Alabama Department of Physics and Astronomy will host the Southeastern US site for the American Physical Society’s Conferences for Undergraduate Women in Physics.  Over 200 undergraduates physics majors from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, South Carolina, and Tennessee will come to Tuscaloosa to attend the conference.  Open to men and women, this conference series focuses on advancing women in physics by featuring presentations by female physicists and educators in academia, national labs and industry, a lively career panel, laboratory tours, a student poster session, and opportunities to network with accomplished women in the field.
