    Travel to Tuscaloosa: 

      The Birmingham International Airport is located about 60 miles east of Tuscaloosa and is the nearest commercial airport to Tuscaloosa. (The airport web site includes a highway map of Birmingham, a list of commercial airlines servicing the area, and a list of car rental agencies.) 

      Driving Directions from Birmingham: Take Interstate highway 20 (also I59) West to Exit #73 (McFarland Blvd.) in Tuscaloosa. Turn right (north) onto McFarland Blvd. and proceed north for approximately 2 miles to University Blvd. From the exit ramp, turn right onto University Blvd. and proceed west about a mile to Hackberry Lane. Turn right on Hackberry and you will see the entrance to the parking lot for Gallalee Hall on the left. Gallalee Hall is located on the Northwest corner of University and Hackberry.

      If your are an invited guest of the physics department (such as a collquium speaker) a parking pass will be provided for you once you arrive. There is a physics visitor parking map which outlines the best options for parking near the physics building, depending on when you will arrive.
